Wildlife photo shooting on the way to Shigatse

Woke up by some songs blared through loudspeakers throughout the town. We set off as usual and didnt expect to see so many wildlifes along the way. The first that greeted us was an eagle that perched itself on a milestone. We missed taking the picture as our car was travelling quite fast. Then we saw deers grazing at few other places. Saw a condor. Then marmots that were playing a fool with each other near the road. They ran away from us as soon as we stopped. So smart they were. We were happy with what we saw and the pix that we managed to take.

Lunch was good. There were some tibetan kids around our cars so we passed them some biscuits and tit bits.

Our car passed through some sand dunes just that the sand has encroached to the road by today. The driver drove past some road depressions and all our lunches nearly got bounced out as the car oscillating in protest. Finally we reached Saga town at 430pm. The town was dusty due to the construction same like the other day, and water will not come in till 9pm. We had no complains this time though, after experiencing worse the two days before. Our guide brought us to a tibetan restaurant, as usual no menu, and the waitresses expected you to write down the dishes that you would like to order, as if we knew what they can cook. And if you finally made up your mind to order some dishes in the end, most of the time they will tell you the dish not available, the ingredient not available or simply dunno how to cook it. To make things simple, the guys ordered the safest beef noodle, which they liked it very much. I settled with something simple cos really got turned off by their inadequacy, service or the lack of dishes, or both. Restaurants operated by the sichuan people beat them flat in terms of variety and efficiency. Patiently waiting for 9pm to come for the long awaited wash up. The hot water came slightly after 9pm. I took a hot shower and was totally refreshed. Slept soundly after that. Same for every night, all kinda wierd dreams came on during my sleep and I can remember details of some after I have awoken the next day.

The next day we rushed 500 plus km to Shigatse where all modern amenities including wifi will be available again. I managed to finished up the last pack of my maggie noodle during lunch. The guys ordered fried egg as one of the dishes for the nth time. I shunned from eggs many days ago ever since they took over the ordering of dishes.

Had a stop midway. i bought ice-cream to chase away the heat. We were a bit too fast so we stopped at roadside for half an hour just before Shigatse. By now we already know how to sing some of the songs that were constantly played during the car journey. The same songs just kept repeating.

Once reached hotel, all messages kept streaming in through wifi. I quickly sent the washing feet in stream pix to the guide by wechat. Went back to the same restaurant that we patronised the other day. The guys ordered steamboat which consists of various parts of yak. Since I could not take beef, I took the veggie and pork instead. R finally get to order his brinjal. I missed my pork chop but I knew I will not be able to finish it so just killed the idea.

Turned on the tv in the room and learnt that the national tv n radio of greece closed down. A brown bear played chasing game with the police in a russian town. The antelopes in tibet started their mass migration beneath the tibet train viaduct to the lake to give birth to their youngs. And Ebc started the 4G experience.
